The Shakespeare Mash-up represents a new genre in theatre. Created by author Ben Arogundade, the eBook deconstructs William Shakespeare's classic plays, Othello and Romeo & Juliet, and then reassembles selected components of dialogue from all the main characters, placing Othello the Moor, Desdemona, Romeo and Juliet together for the first time, in an exciting new cut-and-paste narrative. The mashup, painstakingly constructed in sequence one piece at a time, forms an original new tragi-comic play composed entirely of Shakespeare's own re-ordered text.
